Description: In this class, students will put together a different fun craft each week. All supplies needed will be provided by the teacher ($20 materials fee paid to the teacher on the first day). Teacher: Meghan Whittaker
Teacher Bio: After high school, Meghan served six years as a Medical Services Technician in the USAF Reserves. She furthered her experience as a civilian EMT-Basic for a private ambulance company and a phlebotomist/team lead for INOVA Blood Donor Services. Currently, she is a SAHM of her two younger children. She enjoys reading, home canning,
baking, and craft projects.
Description: Explore Rock & Roll through its history and influences, the lives of its artists, listening activities and hands-on art projects. This is a diverse and modern look at how music can affect cultural change and reflect life. In addition to class there will be weekly playlists and a behind the scenes tour of School Of Rock Fredericksburg where students will get to meet some of the instructors and teen rockstars as well as get to see part of rehearsal. Date of field trip TBD, but it will be on a weekday evening. Teacher: Bridget Bayliss Curren
Teacher Bio: Bridget is a mom of 2 girls, who has been homeschooling for 5 years. She has a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology.
Description: Join us for hands-on science activities, experiments, and explorations! We’ll test for bacteria, grow yeast, dissect hearts, study flowers, isolate DNA, and investigate the effects of beverages. Parent notes: 1) If your child has any food or latex allergies, please let the teacher know in advance. 2) We will be dissecting real mammalian hearts, manipulating DNA, and more. We will cover safety expectations at the start of every class. If your child cannot handle those expectations, they cannot participate in the lab. Please contact the teacher if you have any questions or concerns. 3) A one time $40 supply fee due on the first day of class (this is in addition to the course cost at registration). Brief bio: Carla has a MA in Science Education and loves teaching! She has lived in the Stafford area for almost six years and homeschooled some (or all) of her five children the entire time. She enjoys exploring new places, writing, reading, hiking, and trying new things… like knife throwing!
Description: We will read a story and do a corresponding craft. The weekly themes will be Feb/March related: Groundhog’s Day, Black History, Valentine’s Day, “Read Across America,” and St. Patrick’s Day. ($10 materials fee paid to the teacher on the first day). Teacher: Christine Bill Ford
Teacher Bio: Hello! I was born and raised in Virginia and have lived here my entire life. I have two teenage daughters and six-year old twins. This will be my ninth year homeschooling. I love to read, try out new recipes, explore new areas, and go to museums.
Description: In this yoga class, we will explore the history of yoga, learn how yoga can help you physically, mentally & spiritually. We will learn about meditation and practice various meditation techniques as well as explore various yoga poses and breathing exercises. Games, journaling, discussion, aromatherapy and more will be explored. All beliefs & skill levels are welcome to join. Please bring a yoga mat & water.
Teacher: Monica Rosado Teacher Bio: Monica is a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) who teaches a variety of yoga formats: vinyasa flow, hatha yoga, power yoga, family yoga, yoga for kids, yoga for seniors, yoga for athletes, goat yoga, restorative yoga and more. She also is a meditation coach and an essential oil educator. She believes yoga is for everyone and is on a mission to get everyone yoga-ing, even if it’s just a few minutes per day. The physical, mental & spiritual benefits truly enhance one’s life. Yoga has helped Monica deal with anxiety, depression, PTSD & chronic pain for most of her life. She credits yoga with healing those issues and is on a mission to help share what has worked so beautifully in her life to truly heal her so others can heal themselves too.
Description: In this class, we will learn about plant life cycles and basic gardening skills through books, crafts and more! Each week we will plant a different vegetable or herb so that by the end of the class, the kids can start their own mini garden at home! We will also try the food we plant each week for exposure to different veggies and flavors- Please let the teacher know if your student has any food allergies!! Teacher bio: Krystal is a homeschooling mama of three, ages 9, 5 and 3 months. She is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master’s in Special Education and has a passion for working with kids of all abilities! In her spare time, Krystal enjoys traveling with her family to the beach and Disney!
Description: Children love to move and be active most of the time, and dancing brings that opportunity. In this workshop participants will be able to coordinate steps and explore tropical rhythms such as merengue, bachata and pop latino, plus a brief information about the origins of each rhythm. The workshop will finalize with a mix choreography of what participants learn and explore in class. Teacher: Angie Regina

Director and Co-founder of an independent theater company Otroteatrony. CEO at Zure Productions. Has been part of the professional ensemble at prestigious theater companies such as Repertorio Español, Teatro SEA (The society of the educational arts) and People’s Theatre Project. She is an ATI (Independent Theater Artists) and HOLA (Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors) award winner for best actress for the play La Danza de Mingo by Otroteatrony, play selected for The Routledge Companion to African American Theatre and Performance in the Afro-Latinx Theme in Theatre Today section, and in 2019 with the play for young audience “The Little Prince” won the ACE (Entertainment Chronicles Association) award for best director. From 2017 to 2021 Angie taught in the NYC public schools.

Description: Theater is MAGIC, creativity and freedom explored by the art of pretending. Theater helps us communicate our feelings and thoughts. In this workshop we are going to play and have fun while collectively creating an original theater piece. In devised theater all participants collaborate in the entire process of creation, such as scripts, staging, directing, movement, etc…

PAYMENTS & CHARGES
1 – All payments must be made in one of the following two ways. Note: Payments are not accepted at the Amyclae Dance Academy location.
– Using a credit card online through customer account at www.AmyclaeDance.com
– Mailing a check in advance to: Amyclae Dance Academy, PO Box 1226, Stafford VA 22555-1226
2 – Registration fee must be paid each year for the regular 10-month dance session. No registration fee for any mini-sessions, summer classes, or homeschool classes.
3 – Register for 5 classes, and any additional classes are free. Charges apply to the 5 highest-priced classes.
4 – Monthly tuition fees are calculated for the entire 10 months of the dance year (August through May) and split into 10 equal payments, which are charged on the 1st of each of the 10 months and is not adjusted, regardless of holidays, or number of weeks, or when the last class is held. Mini-courses, dance camps, and special events are charged once.
5 – Payment must be received prior to the student’s spot in classes being confirmed for them. Thereafter, tuition payments during the regular 10-month dance season are due on the 1st of the month. A late fee of $25 will be applied if not paid by 5th of month. After the first late fee, a credit card will be required for your account for automatic charging of all future payments. No dancer will be permitted to attend class if the previous month’s amount due payments have not been paid.
6 – A returned check charge of $50 will be added to your account if a check is returned for insufficient funds.
7 – Notification in writing must be received to remove a student from class. You will be charged for all class tuition until written notification is submitted.
8 – No refunds. No prorating. No returns on any service, merchandise, or costumes. All services and sales are final.
CLASSES
9 – Students must meet minimum age requirement per level.
10 – Only the Artistic Director can move a student to a higher level dance class.
11 – Students are in the same level for all their dance classes.
12 – The Artistic Director has the right to cancel any dance class with less than 7 registered students.
13 – Amyclae reserves the right to conduct classes via Zoom only, if required to do so due to Covid-19 or per government regulations.
INJURIES or ILLNESSES
14 – Amyclae Dance Academy and/or Victina Productions LLC are not responsible for any injuries or illnesses, including Covid-19, that may occur in studio or during online zoom classes. By signing this form, you waive all rights and thereby release and hold harmless all employees, staff, teachers, owners, heirs, and volunteers, from any and all liability.
PHOTOS or VIDEOS
15 – Any photos or videotaping taken during Amyclae Dance Academy dance classes or any attended events may become the property of Amyclae Dance Academy and can be used for promotional purposes without compensation. By signing this form, any photographs, images or videotapes (in whole or in part) may be used in publicizing Amyclae Dance Academy in print or electronic media.
ATTITUDE
16 – Disrespect towards staff, customers, or students by a dancer/family are grounds for dismissal from studio.
